The PlayStation 5 should be much more available from now on. Sony CEO Jim Ryan said on Thursday during a presentation at the CES electronics trade show.
“From now on it should be much easier for anyone looking to buy a PlayStation 5 to find one in stores,” said Ryan.
The console was released in November 2020. In recent years, the demand for PlayStation 5 has outstripped supply. This was largely due to a persistent shortage of chips. There were also logistical problems with the delivery of parts for the gaming computers.
Sony has now sold more than 30 million PlayStation 5 consoles. That’s 5 million more than the company announced during its latest quarterly data. December was the month with the most sales so far, according to Ryan.
