Canan Sahin presents The Inner World exhibition at Kunst am Gate

Expressive works with Edding as well as oil and acrylic paints

05.01.2023

At the Kunst am Gate at Hamburg Airport, the artist Canan Sahin presents his works to a large audience for the first time under the title “The Inner World”. With Edding and acrylic paints, the artist paints sometimes colorful, sometimes monochromatic or black and white images, guided by his feelings and emotions. Until the end of March, passengers can admire the artist’s works in the waiting area of gates C12 to C14.

Peace and lightness, free from any ballast: this is how Canan Sahin, born in Hamburg, feels after painting. A feeling that he wants to share with the world and the viewers of his works. While feelings and emotions are often suppressed in everyday life, the artist consciously embarks on a journey into his emotional world when he paints. His message: those who surrender to their emotions feel free. Each work tells a very personal story about the artist. And so the images of him are sometimes colourful, monochrome or black and white, sometimes he paints animals such as dogs, sometimes it is about music or abstractions.

Canan Sahin was born in Hamburg on August 13, 1981 and still lives in her hometown with her three daughters. At Kunst am Gate, she presents her works to a large audience for the first time and approaches her dream of turning her hobby into a career.
