Napoli received their first defeat this season in the Italian soccer league, falling to Inter Milan 0-1 in the sixteenth stage.

Inter inflicted the first defeat of the season on Napoli in the Italian football championship, defeating them 1-0 in the sixteenth stage, after a 7-week break due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The leg also saw last season’s champions Milan win at Salernitana 2-1, and Juventus followed suit with a difficult last-gasp 1-0 victory over Cremonese.
And at “San Siro”, Napoli entered the match with hosts Inter with 11 consecutive wins, and wasted only 4 points (out of two draws) in 15 games, but came out losing for the first time in this season with a goal scored by the veteran Bosnian striker Adin Dzeko with a header in the match Minute 56.
With this result the conflict opened, given that Napoli remained in the lead, just 5 points from Milan, 7 points from Juventus and 8 from Inter, after the former had tweeted out of the pack before the stop.
The southern team is gasping for its first title since 1990, led by the late Argentine star Diego Maradona.
Inter had their first chance off their back, Matteo Darmian, after receiving a ball from Dzeko midway through the first half, but he tipped it over the bar.
Inter made the lead in the second half with Dzeko’s header in the 11th minute.
Napoli tried to strike back, and their best attempt was a shot from Jacoco Raspadori, but Inter’s Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana looked on after the match.
