In the eager orange coat!
Joetsu Sogo Technical High School’s men’s volleyball club participated in the 75th All Japan Volleyball High School Championship, commonly known as “Harutaka Volleyball”, which began on Wednesday, April 4, as the representative of the prefecture. In their first match, they faced Shohei High School, who represented Saitama Prefecture, and it was a close match that went all the way to the third set.
The tournament was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and a total of 104 men’s and women’s teams participated. Kazusa Men’s Volleyball Club participates in the 18th time for the first time in 6 years.
The match is a 3 set match and the winner is the one who wins 2 sets.
The start of the first set. Kazusa, ahead of the team in an engineer’s uniform, put Shohei ahead and struggled to get off to a good start. Even in the middle stages it was difficult to reach Shohei, who is good at receiving.
Even so, it was Captain Ota’s intense power serve that shined. It is the ideal form to destroy the opponent and decide with the Matsuki ace. Add to this the points of Kobe and recover.
In the closing stages of the game, I managed to gain the upper hand, but the opponent scored and unfortunately I lost the first set 27-29.
Kazusa, who has no back, showed his tenacity in the second set. From the start, Matsuki and Kobe took the lead. Opponents also attacked with high-speed attacks, but Ota eventually scored to make it 25-23, bringing the set count to 1-1 and pushing the game back to the start.
In the 3rd set, both teams continued to clash with all their might. Shohei tortures Kazusa with quick decisive attacks and precise blocks.
Kazusa, on the other hand, scored consecutive three-pointers from Matsuki, a powerful serve from Ota, and a sweeping attack as he moved from Shimotori.
However, he was unable to make up the shoulders of Shohei, who surpassed him in overall strength, and after a close match, went down 23-25and lost by a set count of 1-2.
