Latvian striker Kaspars Daugavins Wednesday scored an assist in a German Hockey League (DEL) game as his Iserlon Roosters suffered a loss. “Roosters” recognized the superiority of “Panther” Augsburg with the result 1:2 (0:1, 0:0, 1:0, 0:1).
Daugavins contributed to the 1:1 with two minutes and 17 seconds remaining in regular time. He played 21 minutes and 27 seconds in that game, had one blocked shot, won two of three shots and had a negative -1 efficiency rating.
Meanwhile Mika Indras Schweninger’s “Wild Wings” lost at home with 3:4 (2:1, 1:1, 0:1, 0:0, 0:1) against the “Grizzly” team from Wolfsburg in a shootout. Indrasis won one of two shots in 17 minutes and 14 seconds, finishing the game with a neutral efficiency ratio.
Daugavins has scored 14 goals and provided 15 assists in 36 games this season, while Indraš has six accurate shots and 15 assists in 33 games. In the tournament standings, the “Roosters” with 50 points in 36 games are in tenth place, while the “Wild Wings” with 48 points won are in 12th place in the 15-team competition.
Swiss
in the Swiss top flight (NL) Ivara Punnenova and Ronald Kenya represented “Lausanne” convincingly capitulated to the hockey players of “Zug” with the result 0:6. Punnenov saved just 29 of the 35 shots his opponents made. The “Lausanne” team suffered a third defeat in a row.
