OnePlus launches OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in China

On Monday, January 9, new products will hit the shelves of electronics stores in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

OnePlus has already launched the new OnePlus 11 5G flagship mobile phone on the Chinese market today, as well as the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earphones, which were also co-developed with Denmark’s Dynaudio.

Like us could reveal as early as the new year introduces the new flagship model Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, offering faster CPU (35% improvement) and GPU speed (25% improvement) with improved power efficiency over last year’s processor generation.

The OnePlus 11 5G also comes with up to 16GB of RAM, as well as a 6.7-inch 2K A+ Fluid AMOLED display with LTPO 3.0 and a 120Hz refresh rate.

An updated downgrade

The OnePlus 10T is a great mobile phone, but it’s not all gold and green forests. It has some compromises in the bag.

Last fall’s budget flagship One Plus 10T could boast 150 watts of fast charging (recharges the battery from 0 to 100% in just 20 minutes), but the new OnePlus 11 5G has to “make do” with 100 watts of so-called SUPERVOOC fast charging. So expect it to take around 30 minutes to charge the 5,000mAh battery.

On the back we find a camera module with a completely new circular design that resembles the camera turned on One Plus 7T.

OnePlus continues the cooperation with Hasselblad, which we got to know already in 2021 in connection with One Plus 9 Pro. The main cameras consist of “a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor, a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel IMX709 vertical lens,” OnePlus says in a press release.

What exactly lies behind the concept of “portrait lens” has so far been left to the imagination, but according to OnePlus the camera has been equipped with “a new 13-channel multispectral sensor for light and color identification, which ensures that OnePlus 11 covers all scenarios of photography. “Good…

A Swedish price is waiting for good reason, but in China the larger version of the OnePlus 11 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage will cost ¥4,899, which is almost 7,500 SEK.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2

Coinciding with the launch of the OnePlus 11, OnePlus also unveiled the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds in collaboration with Danish speaker maker Dynaudio.

According to the press release, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 “sets new standards in spatial audio stability and compatibility for Android users. Using a special algorithm, OnePlus Buds Pro 2 offers a tailored sound experience, a large sound field and multi-dimensional sound. In addition, stereo quality provides a spatial playback effect through a stereo upmixing algorithm developed by OnePlus.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 also has a built-in six-axis IMU sensor that measures head movements in real time and ensures that the user is always at the center of the music, the manufacturer promises.

Brilliant replica of AirPods

It’s pretty obvious that OnePlus used the AirPods Pro as a model, but the Buds Pro are still so successful that they deserve to be considered in their own right.

The plugs’ 11mm driver, co-developed with Denmark’s Dynaudio, focuses on handling low frequencies for deeper, fuller and more dynamic bass, while a new 6mm driver is expected to deliver a wider soundfield and sound clean and clear singing. The large 11mm + 6mm design uses crystal polymer diaphragms with separate surrounds and suspension for balance and tone.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 also features Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC), which reduces ambient noise by up to 48dB. The earbuds also support dual connectivity and Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio, and total playtime (including charges in the OnePlus case) is 39 hours.

Availability

As mentioned, both OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will hit the Chinese market on Monday, January 9. Both products will be launched globally on February 7 at an event in New Delhi, India. When they will then be available in Swedish stores is still an open question.
