Park Hang-seo just accompanied Vietnam against Myanmar match day Group B last AFF Cup 2022.
The Vietnam vs Myanmar match took place at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, Vietnam on Tuesday (3/1/2023). As a result, Vietnam won 3-0.
The Golden Star Warriors’ three winning goals were scored by Kyaw Zin Lwin (8′ -bd), Nguyen Tien Linh (27′) and Chau Ngoc Quang (72′).
This win ensured that Vietnam qualified for the semi-finals of the 2022 AFF Cup with Group B winner status.

Vietnam pocketed 10 points from four games, one point ahead of Malaysia who finished second in Group B.
“We won the group. I want to thank the players for their best efforts in the last four games,” said Vietnam coach Park Hang-seo after the Vietnam-Myanmar match, quoted by bongda24h.
“Only the third match (against Singapore) didn’t go as planned. However, the match was played on an artificial pitch, the risk of injury is higher,” added Park Hang-seo.
In the semifinals, Vietnam will meet runner up Group A, or the Indonesian national team.
Park Hang-seo admitted that the Indonesian national team was a formidable opponent for his troops.

In Park Hang-seo’s eyes, Garuda’s team has grown a lot, both physically and tactically.
“Last year, Indonesia entered the AFF Cup final. Recently, it has undergone many changes,” said Park Hang-seo.
“Indonesia has many good naturalized players. Their physical strength, technique and tactics are also very good. This is really a formidable opponent,” added the South Korea coach.
AFF Cup semi-finals 2022 will take place in two meetings. The first leg will be played on January 6-7, while the second leg on January 9-10.
With group winner status, Vietnam will travel to the Indonesian national team headquarters in the first leg.

From Indonesia versus Vietnam in the first leg of the 2022 AFF Cup Semi-Finals, will be held at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta on Friday (6/1/2023).
Park Hang-seo is optimistic that Vietnam can collect good results in the first leg even if they play at home against the red and white team.
“When playing away from home, there will always be a lot of pressure. That’s obvious, but we have the experience and ability to handle the pressure,” said Park Hang-seo.
“Indonesia is a tough opponent, but I’m sure we can win,” concluded Park Hang-seo.
