As Zelensky tweeted, he agreed with Sunak to “activate our efforts to bring victory closer this year.”
“We have specific solutions for this,” the Ukrainian president added, without however specifying exactly what solutions we are talking about.
According to Sunak’s office, the British prime minister told Zelenskiy that he is continuing to work on providing additional equipment to ensure Ukraine’s victory on the battlefield in the coming weeks and months.
He also pledged that Ukraine “can count on Britain’s help in the long run”.
The leaders of the two countries discussed “the terrible drone attacks on Ukraine in recent days,” a Downing Street official confirmed.
Great Britain is one of Ukraine’s major donors. It assists the Armed Forces of Ukraine with, among other things, air defense systems, multiple warheads, missiles and uniforms, as well as trains Ukrainian soldiers.
