Indonesian national team confirmed a ticket to the semi-finals AFF Cup 2022 after finishing second in Group A below Thailand. Can Garuda still win?
During the group stage, the Indonesian national team went four games without defeat. Shin Tae Yong’s team won three times and drew once, the same results as the match against Thailand, but lost on goal difference.
During the group stage, the appearance of Garuda’s team was probably disappointing. Fachruddin Arianto and his companions fired 76 shots, unfortunately only 30 went on target and 12 were scored.
In these four games there have been only wasted chances. Egy Maulana squandered a chance to score against Cambodia, Hansamu Yama shot a bird against Brunei, Witan was unlucky against Thailand and Ricky Kambuaya was selfish in front of the Philippines.
In terms of play, the appearance of the red and white team was not too impressive. Particularly in Group A, the match against Keisuke Honda’s Cambodia was even more entertaining than the Indonesian national team.
