A teenage boy has been charged with attempted murder after police received a report that a boy of the same age had been raped outside his home in Stavanger on Monday night.
– The police rushed to the emergency room, where the victim was, says police lawyer Torbjørg Ristesund.
Now the accused boy is at the Stavanger police station, where the Children’s Welfare Service is assisting the police, they say.
He pleads not guilty, his defense attorney Knut Lerum tells VG.
– We interviewed the injured, accused and witnesses interviews. Seizures were also carried out in the case. We started the investigation well last night and worked through the night. We are continuing the investigation today, says the police prosecutor.
During a press conference, police lawyer Ristesund says that he confiscated, among other things, mobile phones. He won’t comment on whether there is a relationship between the boys involved.
– We worked all night. Today we carried out investigations at the crime scene and investigations in the area where it happened. We don’t have a complete overview of the sequence of events, but it’s something we’re working on.
At the same time, it requests that anyone with information or suggestions on the case contact the police.
