In Ostrava there will be a duel between teams that share one point in the standings. Dynamo won the previous two games of the season. First at home 2:1, then on the ice of Vítkovice 5:4 after separate forays. It will also be a match between the team with the best home record and the team with the most points away.
Sparta will participate in the extra league for the first time since 22 December. At the Spengler Cup they progressed to the final, and today against České Budějovice the Prague side will look to build on their recent performances in domestic competitions and in Davos. In the league Sparta have won ten of their last 11 games, at home they have succeeded five times in a row.
Hosting champions Třinec, Hradec Králové will aim for a third consecutive victory. The Slezans have won five of their last six matches and are already third in the table. Olomouc will also be in the foreground, which will be presented in Liberec. The Hanáci are fourth, the White Tigers are seventh.
The last Kladno will welcome the fifth Pilsen. In the other matches, the teams from the second half of the table will compete: Brno will play with Litvínov and Karlovy Vary against Mladá Boleslav.
