Mountain rescuers from the Dupnitsa detachment completed another successful operation following reports of an injured tourist who fell from Mount Kalin.
The man was equipped and well prepared for the weather and mountain conditions, but he slipped on a stretch of asphalt and fell, injuring his leg.
The action was attended by 13 rescuers from the Dupnitsa detachment. The action lasted 10 hours and minutes before the man was taken down and transported by ambulance to a health facility.
“The Dupnitsa detachment wishes a speedy recovery of the injured tourist and thanks Rila Sport, Rila Lakes hut and Ivan Vazov hut for logistical help,” Dupnitsa volunteer rescuers wrote on Facebook and posted photos of the action.
