Accommodates up to 100 people a day… Concern about lack of facilities
On the 2nd, the first day of the mandatory Corona 19 test when entering Korea from China, 61 of the short-term foreign residents who entered Incheon International Airport were confirmed.
According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 3rd, 61 (19.7%) of the 309 short-term foreign residents who arrived in Korea from China on the 2nd and underwent gene amplification testing (PCR) are been confirmed. The total number of entries from China is 1,052, including flight attendants, and among them, Koreans and long-term foreigners must complete the inspection within one day at the local public health center at their residence.
Since 2, the government has required foreigners arriving by air from China for a short-term stay of 90 days or less to undergo a PCR test at the inspection center installed at Incheon International Airport. Sixty-one short-term foreign nationals diagnosed with the virus are required to remain in a temporary home isolation facility near the airport for seven days. The test fee of 80,000 won and the cost of the quarantine are all to be paid by the participant. However, as the short-term alien quarantine facility is only able to accommodate 100 people per day, measures are urgently needed to deal with the growing number of confirmed cases in the future.
If you enter Korea from China on or after the 5th, you must also present a negative Corona 19 test confirmation before entering Korea. You can only board a flight to Korea if you have a negative PCR test within 48 hours of departure or a rapid antigen test (RAT) within 24 hours of departure.
