It’s clear that some Japanese companies don’t have Xbox platforms in mind when it comes to certain titles. Square Enix is the best known example. However, it was recently revealed that Capcom completely forgot that the Microsoft Store exists.
As part of a late 2022/early 2023 survey, Capcom asked fans “How do you prefer to buy games?” Options include Switch eShop, PlayStation Store, Steam, and physical stores. However, not a single mention of the Xbox Microsoft Store is made.
While Capcom didn’t mention why the omission of this digital store is due, this could just be a mistake, since Xbox is mentioned throughout the survey. However, this is still a bit strange. especially considering that it will arrive in a few weeks The Rise of the Monster Hunter to this platform. Likewise, it is expected that street fighter 6, the makeover of Resident Evil 4and more games become available on Microsoft consoles.
