Major General Medhat Koraytem, a former assistant interior minister and director of the general traffic department, said that there is a big development in the country and that an advanced system to monitor waste electronically should have been put in place, so Smart cameras have been installed on top of the bridges to monitor any car that stops at the top of the bridges and sign a fine on it for breaking down, traffic jams and causing traffic accidents.
The former deputy interior minister added, in statements to the “Masa DMC” program, that the cameras capture the image of any motorist who stops at the top of the bridges to drop off a passenger or embark another, and immediately the violation is sent to the mobile with the image and the value of the fine.
Major General Medhat Koraytem explained that the fine for parking in the restricted area is 500 pounds, and if this violation results in several violations, the value of the violation will increase. The person talking on the phone or speeding is caught immediately.
