And the house said in a statement today that the earth reaches its closest point in its orbit around the sun (perihelion) in early January each year, while it reaches its farthest point in its orbit around the sun (point of ‘aphelion) during July of each year.
Interestingly, the change in the distance between the earth and the sun is not the reason for the occurrence of climate change on the surface of the earth, but it plays an important role in influencing the number of days of the four astronomical seasons, and this phenomenon is also a natural phenomenon, and has no negative effects on the inhabitants of the globe, as claimed by non-experts.
He explained that there is a strange paradox, although the earth is at its closest point to the sun in January (winter season), the temperature is low, and conversely, when it is at its furthest point from the sun in July (summer season) , the temperature is high. ; This is due to the fact that the angle of fall of the sun’s rays in the winter season is more inclined for the inhabitants of the northern hemisphere during the month of January, which makes them penetrate a greater distance into the atmosphere and thus lose a a large part of their heat, while the angle of fall of the sun’s rays in summer is vertical. For the inhabitants of the northern hemisphere during the month of July, it penetrates a shorter distance from the atmosphere and does not lose much of its heat hot, and the situation is completely opposite for the inhabitants of the southern hemisphere.
