An ice climber from Munich had an accident in Austria on New Year’s Day.
The 24-year-old was hit on the head and shoulder by four boulders about half a meter in diameter, such as the Police of the state of Salzburg announced on Sunday evening. The accident occurred in the “Gläserne Madonna” icefall on the Enzingerboden in the Stubach valley, about 120 kilometers southwest of Salzburg.
