Against the backdrop of green fields and blue waters shot from a bird’s eye perspective, Kristaps says she’s always had a dream about ponds and now it’s come true. “Thanks to ‘Lande’, 20 hectares of agricultural land were put in order in two years,” says the farmer in the video, who intends to develop his farm and expand his activities in the coming years.
With the desire to help farmers obtain financing, the crowdfunding platform “Lande” (originally called “Lendsecured”) started working some time ago. It was created by the same people whose previous loan company ‘Latvijas hipotēka’ was fined by the Consumer Rights Protection Center (PTAC) for unfair commercial practice, providing a reverse rental service.
With ‘Landi’, its founders are preparing to expand into Europe and have also secured funding from the start-up fund ‘BADideas.fund’, whose members include start-ups such as ‘Vimeo’, ‘Printify’, ‘Pipedrive’ , “Bolt”, “Lokalise” and other founders and creators.
