The Foo Fighters continue after the death of Taylor Hawkins

Foo Fighters have officially said something about the band’s future for the first time since drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death in March. They continue. The band does not report a replacement.

“We couldn’t have become the band we were without Taylor,” Foo Fighters wrote on Twitter. “And without Taylor, we’re sure we’ll be a different band in the future.” The band promises to be back on stage soon. “We know you fans meant as much to Taylor as he did to you. And we know that when we see you again, and soon, his spirit will be with us every night.”

Taylor Hawkins passed away suddenly this year at the age of 50. Foo Fighters have canceled the remaining performances of their tour. In September, the band performed again for the first time at two benefit concerts held in Hawkins’ honor. The drummer has been a part of Foo Fighters since 1997, a few years after its foundation.
