Van de Keuken calls the programme, which examines the production of food and other consumer products, “one of the most beautiful television programs in the Netherlands”. However, the presenter decided to stop the program.
“I have more to do before I’m officially old,” he writes. He points to, among other things, the podcast company Meer van Dit which he founded together with Guusje de Vries and Gijs Groenteman. “I want to write books and cookbooks and make new short TV series or documentaries about things that really matter to me.” In his own words, he often runs out of energy after getting out of the car in the evening after the recordings.
The 51-year-old presenter has therefore decided to step out of his comfort zone and stop presenting Evaluation service. Van de Keuken also interrupts the TV show Pointer, to “clear his agenda and his head”. The presenter also thanks the KRO-NCRV for the great collaboration and leaves “with a little pain, a lot of fear, but also a lot of common sense for an uncertain future”.
