Chery announced in Russia the first market novelty of next year, the official start of sales of which is scheduled for January 1st. This is a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover, that is, an updated version of the model Tigo 7 Pro sample of 2020. Alas, in this case, the prefix Max does not mean the appearance of all-wheel drive, as it was with the crossover Tiggo 8 Pro Max. Although the 4×4 transmission should still appear in the “seven” within a year. For now it’s just a restyling.
In China, such a crossover debuted in the summer of 2021 – it’s called there Tigo 7 Plus. Our Tiggo 7 Pro Max not only has a different name, but also has a number of differences from the Chinese version. Although the exterior of these cars is the same. Restyling did not affect the appearance much – a new front bumper, a radiator grille and running lights appeared, and black lining with a stylized letter T was added to the front fenders. written “Chery” instead of an emblem. Sky blue has been added to the body color palette (there are now seven colors to choose from). Passport ground clearance: the former 190 mm.
But the interior has been seriously redone. New front panel – with combined instruments and multimedia screens (12.3 inches each). The steering wheel, ventilation flaps and buttons have been changed. The multimedia system itself runs faster than before, and Bluetooth is standard. The internal insulation and the air filtration system have also been improved. However, the center console with a touch-sensitive climate control panel remained old, while in China the Tiggo 7 Plus got a new eight-inch touchscreen with rotary handles. The central tunnel has been rearranged: the wireless charging pad has been moved back to the center armrest, and cup holders with lids have been installed in the old location.
All equipment is the same. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max is offered only with a 1.5 turbo engine (147 HP, 210 Nm), CVT and front-wheel drive. The dynamic parameters have not changed either: the maximum speed is 186 km / h, the acceleration time to “hundreds” is 9.8 s. The future all-wheel drive version will have the same powertrain as the recently launched crossover. Exeed LX AWD: it is equipped with a 1.6 TGDI turbo four (150 HP), a seven-speed preselective “robot” and a clutch on the rear axle.
The former initial configuration Elite is excluded from the restyling lineup – as Chery assures, so as not to interfere with the expensive versions of the youngest crossover on the market. The basis for the “seven” will now be the Prestige version, which includes six airbags, “leather” interior, all seats with heating, steering wheel and windshield, panoramic roof, electric driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, all-round cameras, tailgate electric, light and rain sensors, keyless entry system and 18-inch wheels. Updated crossovers have already appeared at Russian dealers, you can buy them starting today. As long as there are pre-reform cars in stock, their stock should run out in early spring.
