New Delhi: The naked body of a young woman shocked the national capital on New Year’s Eve. It is said that the car that hit the woman dragged them for miles and that she died from her serious injuries. The accident occurred on Sunday morning.
A woman traveling on a scooter was hit by a speeding car in Delhi’s Sultanpuri. Then the car moved forward dragging the young woman. Her naked body was found in Kanchanwala with all her clothes torn. The ANI news agency reported that the 5 people in the car were subsequently arrested.
Expressing shock at the incident, Swati Maliwal, chairwoman of the Delhi Women’s Commission, called for the truth to come out. Swati sent a notice to the Delhi Police. She is indicated that the car did not stop even after she realized she had hit the scooter. The girl’s clothes were caught in the car after the impact. As the vehicle moved forward, the woman was dragged down the road.
A person who saw the woman being dragged called the police and communicated the car number. The police intervened to investigate and found the woman’s body lying in the middle of the road. He was immediately taken to the hospital. During questioning, the defendant initially told police that he had no knowledge of the incident. He later testified that there was an accident but the woman was not dragged.
Police believe the defendant tried to pass after hitting the young woman. Police are also investigating whether there was an agreement between the woman and the defendant. DCP Harendra K. Singh said the woman’s body was found without clothes, but concluded there was no torture.
