Liepaja Symphony Orchestra celebrated the end of 2022 with a brilliant symphonic jazz program in the packed concert hall “Lielais dzintars” on December 30th.

Led by maestro Guntas Kuzmas, together with singer Beata Zviedri and actor Gundar Silakaktins, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra took the audience on a journey to the legendary Broadway. The concert featured sizzling music from the golden repertoire of American jazz classics George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and Cole Porter.
Artie Shaw’s energetic clarinet concert, in which he simultaneously performed the role of conductor and soloist, received a stormy ovation from the audience. Guntis Kuzma.
