– Everything is fine with mother and son. And the father too, as far as I know, Akershus University Hospital communications director Dagfinn Aanonsen tells NTB.

He claims the family is from Eidsvoll. The Ahus maternity ward welcomes 5,000 children every year.

In Oslo, New Year’s Eve arrived after 27 minutes. Then a girl was born at Ullevål Hospital in Oslo.

– The girl was born in childbirth/maternity ward A in Ullevål, Oslo University Hospital (OUS) press officer Anders Bayer told NTB.

The OUS maternity wards, divided between Ullevål and Rikshospitalet, are the largest in the country with almost 10,000 births a year. One in six births in the country therefore takes place here.
