True to tradition, the radio station Studio Brussel closed the year with its ‘Timeless 100’, the list of the best songs of all time according to listeners. This year they voted Fleetwood Mac, for the second consecutive year, in first place, with the song ‘The chain’. Pearl Jam with ‘Black’ and Pink Floyd with ‘Wish you were here’ complete the stage.
The highest newcomer on the list was Kate Bush, with ‘Running up that hill’ at number 37. Also Arno’s ‘Les yeux de ma mère’ (54), Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ (77) and ‘Cold little heart ‘ by Michael Kiwanuka (96) is first in De Tijdloze 100 .
Radio 2 listeners chose Queen’s “Bohemian rhapsody” as the best in their Top2000. In second place is John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, in third place is Bryan Adams’ ‘Summer of ’69’.
Striking here is the ascent of Nicole and Hugo’s ‘Goeiemorgen, morgen’, who have climbed from position 456 last year to no less than fourth place. The highest newcomer is Metejoor Feat. Babet’s ‘1 in a million’ which comes out of nowhere in tenth place.
