[STN스포츠] Reporter Lee Hyeong-joo = Luke Shaw (27) revealed his thoughts.

Manchester United won 1-0 in a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 18th round of the English Premier League (EPL) 2022/23 season held at the Molyneux in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England on the 31st (Korean time). Man Utd went on a three-game winning streak in the league and Wolverhampton failed to win a back-to-back league win.

Left-back Shaw also plays at centre-back due to recent circumstances at Manchester United. On this matchday he also played as a central defender, but showed solid defense and contributed to the team’s victory.

On the same day, according to British media BBC, Shaw praised teammate Marcus Rashford (25) for scoring the winning goal first. Shaw said: “Rashford is in great shape and is full of confidence. He is also very positive. I think he’s world-class and if he keeps improving, he can become one of the best players in the world.”

As for the central defender’s appearance, “I’m really enjoying it. I will play wherever coach Eric ten Hag wants. I think it is useful to race next to Rafael Baran again. It was fun running while talking to him and I’m happy to have achieved a goalless win.”

Shaw was last asked about United’s discipline. Rashford, protagonist of the winning goal, started the game on the bench for a violation of the regulation.

“In a top club (like us), that’s how it should be,” said Shaw. There must be discipline. The bishop considers everything. As we saw today, if you don’t do the little things right, you won’t be able to play.”
