Water ballet on the A12, connecting roads closed

If you want to use the A4 motorway from Utrechtsebaan (A12) to The Hague, you have to make a detour. On Saturday afternoon, due to large puddles of water on the road, the two connecting roads to Amsterdam and Delft were closed.

Traffic is advised to continue in the direction of Zoetermeer, take the exit and go around. It is not known how long the closure will last.

No train between Woerden and Gouda due to a collision

No trains will run between Woerden and Gouda on Saturday afternoon due to a collision at Gouda Goverwelle station. NS expects the disruption to train service to last until 5pm. There are express buses and taxi buses.

Two injured in collision at intersection

Two cars collided on Saturday morning at the intersection of Willem Witsenplein and Benoordenhoutseweg in The Hague. The drivers of both cars were injured. At the entrance to a residential care center on Amethysthorst in The Hague on Saturday morning, a roof cracked and collapsed. Firefighters were brought in to loosen and remove the roof.

The parked car burned out

A car parked on Reykjavikweg in The Hague burned down overnight between Friday and Saturday. Police are still investigating how the fire started.

Firefighters rushed to the scene, but were unable to stop the car from burning completely. The flames also spread to the car parked next to the vehicle. This too was damaged.

Motorist hits a tree in Rijswijk

On the Huis te Landelaan in Rijswijk, a motorist hit a tree in the night between Friday and Saturday. He was injured and taken to the hospital. It is not yet known how the motorist went off the road.

Several witnesses witnessed the accident and called 911. Paramedics were called to take care of the driver, after which he was taken to hospital.
