Shabana Rehman passed away on Thursday after a long illness. She was 46 years old.

Shabana Rehman has received numerous awards for her work as a comedian and social debater.
In 2002 he received the Fritt Ord Award together with Aslam Ahsan for his work on building bridges between cultures.
In 2022 he received Norsk PEN’s Ossietzky Award for his use of freedom of expression in a “creative and sensational way”.
Rehman was born on July 14, 1976 in Karachi, Pakistan. She grew up with her parents and six siblings in Holmlia, Oslo.
