A Syrian newspaper reveals that the outcome of the tripartite meeting held in Moscow between the defense ministers of Syria, Turkey and Russia concluded that Turkey has agreed to a complete withdrawal from the Syrian lands it occupies in the north.
Informed sources confirmed to the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan that the atmosphere of the tripartite meeting, held in Moscow and under Russian auspices, was the result of several previously held meetings between the intelligence services in Turkey and Syria.
The sources added that this meeting would not have taken place without several points agreed between the two sides, so as to satisfy the interests of Damascus and its conditions, the most important of which is the withdrawal of Turkish forces from all Syrian lands.
And he reported that the results of the tripartite meeting held in Moscow and which brought together Russian defense ministers Sergey Shoigu, Syrian Ali Mahmoud Abbas and Turkish Hulusi Akar concluded that Turkey agreed to a complete withdrawal from the Syrian territories it occupies in the north, as well as Ankara’s affirmation of respect for the sovereignty and integrity of Syrian lands. They also discussed the implementation of the agreement concluded in 2020 regarding the opening of the M4 road.
The sources also said that the assembled parties stressed that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, known as the “PKK”, is a proxy militia of the United States and “Israel” and poses the biggest threat to Syria and Turkey. .
The sources concluded that everything agreed during this meeting will be followed up through specialized committees that have been formed to ensure good implementation and follow-up, and that subsequent meetings will be held between the two sides for further coordination.
Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar revealed that “Turkey confirmed during the meeting It supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria and its only goal is to fight terrorism.”
“The Turkish military is in Syria to fight the PKK, Kurdish People’s Protection Units, ISIS and other terrorists and to prevent mass migration,” Akar said.
