Hockey players HKM Zvolen lost in Friday’s match of the 49th round of the regional Tipos extraliga on home ice against HK Poprad 2:3 after extra time and gave the leading position to Slovan Bratislava. The guests won the second duel in a row and secured seventh place.

In the first half, Poprad coach Peter Mikula managed with a challenge, when the referees disallowed the goal of the home team, Peter Zuzin, after viewing the video for offside. The situation changed only in the central act, James Livington opened the scoring for the guests.
Zvolenčani equalized with a goal from Radovan Bondra, but the Podtatras took the lead again after Samuel Mlynarovič scored on the power play. In the third period, Shane Hanna tied it up from the blue line with a shot to the ice. The solution comes in extra time, in which the guests defend themselves from the excessive power of the opponent and then Adam Drgoň decides the counterattack.
