Esther Muoz, new president of Len’s PP
The delegate of the Council of León, Esther Muñoz, was elected this Saturday as the new president of the PP of León, during the meetings of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the PP of León, held this morning and which were also attended the general secretary of the PP of Castilla y León, Francisco Vázquez. The new appointment comes after the resignation of former coach Javier Santiago, whom Vázquez thanked for the work he did during his 15-month tenure.
Meanwhile, Muñoz was elected by the provincial Executive Committee after having no other candidates after her nomination this Wednesday and she thanked the support of her colleagues and offered all of them “her will, her strength, her enthusiasm and its energy”. PP “to be the winning party, as it always has been”.
Thus the new president of the Leonese PP assured that she was aware of the responsibilities she assumes, especially “with the people of Leon” at a time, she continued, in which people need “certainties, clear leadership, projects and teams” and which “must be given by the PP of León”.
For this he has expressed his intention to tour the province “from top to bottom” to grab the best candidates, which is what “the inhabitants of León deserve”.
For his part, Francisco Vázquez assured that Muñoz is well aware of the needs of this province and with it intends to “relaunch” the Leonese PP, which has traditionally been “a party with a large majority” and which must achieve greater institutional responsibility from the municipal elections next May.
“We ask him for work, dedication and good work, which is what he has done in all responsibilities”, added the general secretary of the PP in Castilla y León.
For his part, the president of the council and of the regional PP, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, congratulated Esther Muñoz through a message on his account on the social network Twitter. “I know Esther well, we have been working side by side on many projects for a long time and I am convinced that she will bring enthusiasm and a lot of commitment to her and to the people of Leon. She will be a great president!” Fernández Mañueco stressed.
