Saudi club An-Nasr has signed Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to a contract, according to the club’s Twitter.
“The greatest athlete in the world has officially signed the contract,” reads the message. The tweet is illustrated by a photo of Ronaldo, in which he is holding up a shirt in the club colors (yellow and blue) with his surname and the number “seven”.
Al Arabiya previously cited sources informedthat the contract was signed for two and a half years.
English Manchester United finished contract with the 37-year-old Ronaldo on 22 November. This was preceded by a scandal over an interview with The Sun newspaper, in which he accused the club of treason.
Manchester United betrayed me. The club tried to force me to leave. I felt cheated. They made me a scapegoat. Not just the coach, but also two or three other people in the club. It seemed like some people didn’t want me here. Not just this year, but last season as well.” She said Ronaldo.
After the termination of the contract, the player declaredthat it was time for him to “seek a new challenge”.
