Ukraine: Russia holds over 3,000 prisoners, adviser to Ukrainian president – Bloomberg

An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had admitted to holding more than 3,000 prisoners of war. The councilor said 15,000 people are missing, many of them civilians.

Russia has launched one of its biggest rocket attacks to date, targeting cities like Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, and Lviv to the west. Ukraine’s military commander-in-chief Zarzhny said 69 cruise missiles were fired from Russian bombers and strategic ships, 54 of which were intercepted. Separately, Belarus announced it had shot down a Ukrainian surface-to-air missile that flew into its territory.

The United States is considering providing a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle as part of an additional military aid package to Ukraine. This has been confirmed by several people familiar with the matter.
