Apple is working on an 11.1-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro with an OLED screen. These models will appear in the first quarter of 2024, according to reliable display analyst Ross Young.

iPad Pro oled 2024
Apple currently uses various screen technologies: LCD, mini-LED and OLED. Oled can be found on the newest iPhone models from the iPhone 12, but also on the apple watch and previously on the Touch Bar of the MacBook Pro. There are now plans to bring OLED to the iPad as well. OLED screens have better colors, better contrast and are more energy efficient.
Currently, Apple sells a 12.9-inch iPad Pro Mini LED and a 11-inch iPad Pro with a traditional LCD display, so the LED Mini is exclusive to the more expensive iPad Pro model. With the update scheduled for 2024, both iPads maybe again the same type of screen.
Bigger screen, so a bigger iPad?
The display panel of both iPad Pros will therefore be slightly larger: 11 inches becomes 11.1 inches, 12.9 inches becomes 13 inches. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the iPad is getting bigger. More obvious is that the edges around the screen get slightly narrower. The iPad as a whole does not change in size.
Young previously said Apple would introduce a 14.1-inch iPad Pro in 2023, but will now be returning to it. At present, such a device is no longer in the works. However, it cannot be ruled out for the more distant future.
2024: won’t that be a long time?
The most recent iPad Pro appeared in October 2022, with an M2 chip and hover functionality for Apple pencil. A new iPad Pro is usually released every year and a half, so it makes sense that the successor to iPad Pro 2022 will be released in spring 2024.
