This will be the new avenue that will connect San José Obero with Guadalcacín

Improvement of the road connecting the San José Obrero district of Jerez with the population of Guadalcacinand its transformation into an avenue, is already expressed in a document: precisely in a protocol of general action signed by the fourth vice-president of the Provincial Council of Cadiz, Javier Pizarro and the mayor of Jerez, Mamen Sanchez. Prior to this entry, the coaching staff of the Area of ​​Cooperation and Assistance to Municipalities de Diputación showed, in the center of the San José Obrero neighborhood, a video that recreates future communication, as well as clarifying the doubts of the neighbors. Javier Pizarro indicated the data that characterize the proposed infrastructure: work will be done on a 1.6 km route; Two lanes 3.25 meters wide will be integrated into the new road; an annexed cycle-pedestrian path of -at least- 1.5 meters wide will be enabled; the ditch will be between 1 and 1.5 meters wide and the quay another half meter wide. The data confirms that the standard section of this road will be widened, and that it will be illuminated along its entire length.

The technical prescriptions will be detailed in a project whose drafting will be assumed by the Provincial Council. The physical execution of the works – estimated at 1.3 million euros– It will also be carried out by the provincial body in coordination with the municipal services. The Provincial Council will provide the land it owns and the City Council will settle the land to be occupied and which is located in the following sectors: San José Obrero-Camino de Espera, Las Abiertas de Caulina and Pago de Lima. When the action is completed, the transfer of ownership will be formalized in favor of the Municipality of Jerez.

After signing the protocol, the obligations of each entity will be specified in a specific agreement.

Javier Pizarro, Mamen Sánchez and Nieves Mendoza highlighted the firm will of the institutions involved to resolve this much requested communication and the gain that the new road will bring in terms of road safety.
