In early February this year, Samsung launched the Samsung phone Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 which included Intel chipsets. The South Korean tech company has now revealed the same type of Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chipset laptop.
The new Samsung laptop is almost ready to hit the market. Samsung will officially launch in South Korea with a price tag of KRW 1.89 million ($1,497 USD).
The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chipset is the first 5nm ARM chipset made for Windows laptops. It was launched in late 2021 with significant performance improvements over its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 Snapdragon Edition comes with huge upgrades
When compared with Gen 2, Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 offers 85% multi-core CPU performance compared to the previous version. The graphical improvement was also a huge leap forward. The new chipset offers about 60% more GPU performance while the NPU is increased to 29 TOPS.
This version is similar to the Intel version. It also features a 13.3-inch AMOLED display. Weighing just 1.04kg and 11.5mm thin, it’s one of the lightest and thinnest laptops on the market today.
Just as the name suggests, this laptop can rotate 360 degrees. With the help of the included S-Pen, you can easily do a lot without touching the keyboard or trackpad.
The Intel version has great battery life and seems to be more than enough. It can give you up to 21 hours of battery life when playing videos. The Snapdragon version goes even further, providing 35 hours of battery while playing videos.
The new version also features built-in 5G connectivity and WiFi 63 support. Other improvements also come with higher price points. The new version will be sold for KRW 1.89 million, while the Intel version will be sold for KRW 1.65 million.
