Bulgarians rushed unstoppable to welcome the new year to Turkey. Cars and buses with our citizens going to our southern neighbor literally blocked the border corridors leaving the country, reported a journalist of “Maritsa”.
Holiday tourists are mostly from Bulgaria and Romania. There are also many French people who have landed at Sofia airport and continue by bus to Turkish resorts.
Due to the influx of vehicles in queue, the border is crossed after about 3 hours of waiting.
