A few days ago there was information that NVIDIA intends NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti price at $899. And today, multiple sources from major portals revealed that they received a last-minute update from the greens with what appears to be a pre-launch price cut and the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti’s current MSRP of $799.
Some stores have already started accepting orders for the MSRP of $899 and even more. However, they were told today that the tentative launch date is now $799 and the difference will be adjusted for existing orders. As we are closer to launch, this price is likely to continue (although this is only a guess).
Don’t forget, though, that Jensen owns the black leather jacket and we all have to submit to his authority. So he can easily snap his fingers and change the recommended prices at the last minute if he so desires. That’s why it’s still a rumor, because until the marketing and documentation is ready for launch, those details may change.
The main reason NVIDIA may have changed their mind may be that the 25% GPU rates had to be renewed 1/1 and were delayed by the US government for 9 months.
But, of course, the main reason is probably the completely weak popularity of the NVIDIA RTX 4080, which is very difficult to sell on the shelves, unlike its more expensive counterpart – the NVIDIA RTX 4090.
