Brazilian superstar Neymar received a red card in PSG’s league match after the World Cup. Neymar received two yellow cards in two minutes. The incident occurred during the match against Strasbourg. Neymar received his first yellow card in the 61st minute.
The yellow card was for a handball on Adrian Thompson. Then came the second yellow card. Referee Clement Turpin issued a second yellow card for deliberately falling into the box to win a penalty. This is Neymar’s fifth red card since joining PSG.
Meanwhile, PSG beat Strasbourg 2-1 thanks to a penalty won by Mbapa in injury time. PSG scored the first goal of the match. Marquinas scored for PSG in the 14th minute from a cross from Neymar. However, Strasbourg equalized with an own goal in the 51st minute.
Mbapa saved PSG from defeat by scoring a penalty in the 6th minute of stoppage time when the game appeared to be level. PSG are in first place in the league with 44 points. Strasbourg is currently in 19th place.
