Jetstar flight returns to Australia after being refused entry to Bali

Jetstar JQ35 aircraft from Melbourne, Australiarefused to land at Denpasar, BaliTuesday (12/27) night after a communication error.

reported news.com, the aircraft was originally scheduled to depart Melbourne Airport to arrive in Denpasar at 01:25 Indonesian time. But the plane suffered delay for five hours before finally leaving around 11pm local time.

The aircraft had almost reached the outskirts of Australia. However, the aircraft then returned to Melbourne after banking briefly in the air.

According to FlightRadar24 footage, the plane made a U-turn in the sky before heading towards Victoria. Passengers then took out their frustration on social media after being forced to go on air for 12 hours.

“I was so physically and mentally tired. I could barely get angry. I gave up,” said one passenger.

“Thank goodness the pilot and cabin crew are very kind. I feel sorry for them because they don’t know anything either,” he added.

A Jetstar spokesperson also opened up after speculation arose as to why the plane was refused entry. He said there was an internal communication error which resulted in the plane being forced to turn back.

“We originally wanted to swap yesterday’s Melbourne to Bali flight service for a larger Boeing 787 aircraft to carry more passengers during the holidays. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, the swap to the larger aircraft was not possible. approved by local regulators in Indonesia After we found out “The flight is back in Melbourne. We have rebooked passenger tickets for today’s flight,” she said.

He admitted the crash frustrated the passengers. His party then apologized for the cancellation of their flight to Bali.

In addition to apologizing, his group also provided passengers who did not depart with vouchers for accommodation and meals.

“While customers wait for their new flights, we are providing hotel rooms and food vouchers. We will bear the extra costs of airport transportation,” he said.

Jetstar later confirmed that passengers departed immediately on Wednesday around 4pm local time.

“We have started a review to understand how the miscommunication occurred so as to prevent it from happening again.”
