Nintendo planned but scrapped the Switch Pro

There have been rumors for several years that Nintendo is working on a Pro version of its Switch gaming console, which would be able to offer more advanced gaming experiences. And now Digital Foundry’s John Linneman arrives with the information that an updated Switch was previously planned, but that project was later shelved.

It was during a YouTube Q&A session that Linneman provided the information.

“At one point, as I understand it after talking to various developers, there was some sort of mid-generation Switch refresh planned, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore,” says Linneman.

Nintendo has never commented on reports of a sharper version of the Switch.
