Kapolda Papua West Inspector General Pol. Daniel TM Silitonga has ordered the arrest of the armed criminal group (KKB) which is still wreaking havoc against civilians in Maybrat. Daniel said KKB must be caught dead or alive.
Antara reported, Thursday (29/12/2022), West Papua Regional Police Chief said in Manokwari, Wednesday (28/12) evening, directing Polri personnel into the ranks so that they were not negligent in the face the terror of the KKB against civilians. Daniel raises the alert in Maybrat.
“We are on alert against the KKB in Maybrat. The point is that criminals must be caught dead or alive,” said Daniel.
Daniel claimed that Polri and TNI personnel had taken control of the Maybrat area which the KKB previously claimed to have occupied the area. He said Maybrat was in a good position.
“So far, Maybrat is in a favorable position. The National Police and the TNI are conducting periodic assessments with the Maybrat Regency government so we can confirm that the video circulating on the KKB which controls the Kmurkek district is not true,” said Daniel.
He said National Police and the TNI carried out routine and measurable patrols to ensure Maybrat’s overall conductivity.
“If a video confession took over Kmurkek on Christmas Eve, that’s not true. It may have been because it was dark, they confessed by making a video. However, at 0600 all staff made sure conditions were safe ”he also said.
It is known that the KKB is still in the Maybrat area in Bintuni Papua West. They spread terror against civilians and the security forces.
Police have disclosed the identities of a number of KKB members who are on the wanted list (DPO) in a series of attacks on military posts and civilian road workers.
