The scientific research vessel “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” is at anchor at the exit of the Bosphorus, BNT reports. The vessel is currently being refueled and it will take more than 4 hours to fill the tanks. According to a previous request, the ship should have docked, waiting its turn from 10:00, but for unclear reasons it had to wait more than 7 hours before the barge or tanker was able to approach and deliver the diesel.
The fuel price from the Istanbul supplier is the lowest possible on the way to Antarctica.
The ship with the Antarctic mission left the port of Varna yesterday around 2 pm and entered the Bosphorus this morning. It is expected to cross the Sea of Marmara overnight and cross the Dardanelles tomorrow morning.
The delay in the schedule did not prevent the training and training sessions of the cadets of the Higher Naval School.
