On the first day after the Christmas holidays, there was an accident in rush hour traffic: on Tuesday afternoon, in front of Farmsen tube station, two children were run over.
According to the police, the two girls (12 and 14) wanted to cross August-Krogmann-Strasse at a green light around 5 pm when a driver (42) surprised them. As police announced Wednesday, the woman obviously drove in red. The 12-year-old girl was thrown to the ground by the impact.

The boy remained responsive, but according to police he was very scared and suffered a broken leg. He was treated on the spot by an emergency doctor who was alerted and then taken to a clinic for further tests. The 14-year-old girl sustained only minor injuries.
