From Italy to France to Spain and Portugal. Albert Angelo is ready for the new season of Wondershis beloved cultural, historical and artistic program on Rai 1 now in its fifth edition. After the incredible success of Tonight in Milanbroadcast at Christmas with over 3 million viewers (equal to a 23.8% share of prime time on 25 December), the science popularizer is preparing to leave to travel throughout Europe. Wonders – Stars of Europe: the new season
After closing the fourth edition with the sixteenth overall episode filmed between Padua, Spoleto and Herculaneum, Alberto Angela is ready to get back on the road, this time around theEurope. Wonders – The peninsula of treasures in fact, it will change its subtitle to Wonders – Stars of Europe, since the Alps and national borders will be crossed in search of many other artistic and cultural performances. In fact, Alberto Angela will always start from the Belpaese and then reach the Francethe Spain, The Portugalthe Germanythe Greece and many other countries. Moint-Saint Michel, the Castles of Bavaria, Andalusia are in fact just a few places revealed by the conductor, who declared:
“After having explored the many faces of Italian culture, it was the right time to find out what instead binds us to other countries. Art and beauty have the extraordinary power to bring people together and create a common language.”
Previews of the first episode
On the occasion of the first episode of the fifth season, we will start from the iconic abbey of Mont Saint-Michel immersed in the waters and powerful tides of the Channel. Then stop in Portugalto visit the Belém tower, the Jéronimos monastery, the narrow streets of Alfàma, the old Arab quarter, the magnificent azulejos of the palace of the Marquises of Fronteira, and the Carmo church where Dulce Pontes will sing to the tune of Maestro Ennio Morricone. The Italian stage of the episode will be Veronafrom the Arena – where Alberto Angela will meet Roberto Bolle – up to Juliet’s balcony, where Riccardo Cocciante will be there. The trip will end at Chartreshome to the oldest and best preserved Gothic cathedral in Europe
