Musical comedy Crazy for you prepares to return to London. This second revival of the play premiered at the Chichester Festival Theater where it was sold out at every performance.
Passionate about theater, Bobby Child is torn between his dreams of performing and running the family bank. One day he is taken to Deadrock, Nevada to secure a theater mortgage. Then he falls in love with Polly, the owner’s daughter. To enchant the beauty, he decides to stage a show with the troupe of the famous Zangler Follies revue from New York to save the theater.
Crazy for you is a romantic comedy by Ken Ludwig (libretto). It’s actually a cover of Crazy girla musical by Ira Gershwin (book and lyrics) and George Gershwin (music), with additional excerpts from other works by the duo.
Crazy for you will run for 6 months only at the Gillian Lynne Theater from 24 June 2023.
