On the evening of the 26th, the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council published the “General plan on the implementation of “Class B and B management” for new coronavirus infection”, which proposes to optimize the management of exchanges of Chinese and foreign personnel. From January 8, 2023, the nucleic acid test and centralized isolation of all personnel after entry will be canceled and the outbound travel of Chinese nationals will resume in an orderly manner.
To optimize the management of personnel exchanges between China and abroad, the specific measures are as follows:
- Those who come to China must undergo the nucleic acid test 48 hours before departure, those who fail can come to China without applying for the health code from our overseas embassy or consulate, by filling in the result in the customs health declaration form. If positive, affected personnel should come to China after turning negative.
- Nucleic acid testing and centralized isolation for all personnel after entry will be canceled. Those who have a normal health declaration and no abnormalities in the routine quarantine at the port customs can be released to enter the society.
- Number control measures for international passenger flights such as “five” and passenger load factor restrictions will be canceled. All airlines continue to do a good job of preventing epidemics on board and passengers are required to wear face masks when boarding.
- Further optimize the arrangements for foreign nationals coming to China, such as the resumption of work and production, business, overseas study, family visits, meetings, etc., and provide the corresponding visa convenience.
- Passenger entry and exit at sea and land ports will gradually resume.
- According to the international epidemic situation and various service guarantee capabilities, the outbound travel of Chinese citizens will resume in an orderly manner.
The impact of the new policy on travel consumption quickly emerged: within half an hour of the release, searches for popular overseas destinations on the Ctrip platform increased 10 times over the previous year, according to Ctrip data.
Qunar platform data also shows that within 15 minutes of this news being released, the instant search volume of international air tickets increased by 7 times, and the popular destinations were Thailand, Japan and South Korea.Lan Xiang, dean of the Qunar Big Data Research InstituteIt is analyzed that the adjustment of entry and exit policies will help promote the orderly resumption of international flights, and the number of inbound and outbound passengers will increase in the short term. With the gradual normalization of the supply and demand ratio of inbound and outbound air tickets, the overall price of international air tickets will gradually decline.
Fang Zeqian, industry analyst at Ctrip Research InstituteIt is believed that as tourism supply recovers and inflation is brought under control by major global economies, the overall price of wine for outbound travel is expected to return to its pre-epidemic level; however, there are still short-term constraints on the supply-side recovery of facilities and labor, so it will still take some time for the price to come down.
