Shakhtar Donetsk are looking to boost their defense with 19-year-old Istra 1961 and Croatia Under-21 centre-back Mauro Perkovic.
The Pitmen competition is immediately made up of five mid-range Italian clubs: Verona, Turin, Salernitana, Bologna and Udinese.
The defender’s contract with Istra 1961 is valid until June 30, 2026. Perkovic is valued at 2.5 million euros by Transfermarkt.
Mauro Perkovic graduated from Istra 1961, for which he played 46 matches. In them he scored three goals and one assist. The player has two games for Croatia U21s.
