Crude closes slightly lower in New York

NEW YORK (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Crude prices closed near breakeven on Tuesday, reacting little to the announcement that Russian exports have been halted to countries that meet the $60-per-barrel price cap imposed by countries westerners. On Tuesday, the contract on a barrel of Brent gained 0.5% to 84.33 dollars and that on a barrel of WTI crude oil closed very slightly lower in New York, at 79.53 dollars. Earlier in the session, prices were supported by the easing of some health restrictions in China.
