The records to be broken in next year’s MotoGP calendar

The MotoGP World Championship will have a calendar with several new features in 2023, with a historic number of 21 rounds. But this will not be the only step taken by the program scheduled for next year.

The season will kick off in Portugal from 24 to 26 March, but despite the European departure, it will be a season with a new maximum number of events outside the “Old Continent”: ten (47.6%) will take place beyond the borders, starting immediately with the Argentine Grand Prix from March 31 to April 2, the second of the season.

The Grand Prix of the Americas will take place two weeks later, before the start of the European stage, which runs until 10 September. In between will be the third trip outside Europe, with the debut of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix. The end-of-season Asian phase will kick off on 22-24 September with India’s debut at the Bharat Grand Prix, followed by well-known destinations: Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and Qatar. The closure will be, as tradition dictates, when Valencia will turn to Europe.
